Today we headed to Pinewood Lodge in Dorothy Lake for our church's marriage retreat. This is our room for the weekend.

Tonight was Emma's last dance recital for the foreseeable future as she's decided to take either musical theatre or voice lessons next year instead. Her class did a medley of Madonna songs and she did fantastic!

She got 3 separate bouquets from us and both sets of grandparents that happened to be amazingly colour coordinated and made one large beautiful bouquet!

First day back in the pool this year!!! It was rather cloudy and not super warm out but the water was a beautiful 83 degrees so as long as they were IN the water, it was great.

Nathan joined them after his run after work. I jumped in by myself after my later evening run - refreshing jump in the pool and relaxing soak in the hot tub. Perfect!

Training (quickly!) for the MB Marathon 10k coming up on Father's Day. After several sessions of only running I decided to go back to the run/walk method I used last year (Jeff Galloway method) and I did amazing on my run today! After doing 5k in 35 and 34 minutes the two days before, I did it in 32m28s as part of my 4 miler today!

Today was the One Heart Winnipeg service where over 80 churches from our city gathered to worship together at the new Bomber stadium. It was great!

Who should happen to sit beside us but the family whose basement suite I used to rent before Nathan and I got married. Their daughter Jillian was 2 at the time and their second daughter Madidon was born days after our wedding. When Jillian found out my name she exclaimed "You're the famous Tammy?! I LOVED you when I was little!"  She's not 2 anymore but a beautiful young woman of God.

Love how God arranges these "coincidences" to brighten our day.

Garage sale success! We made just over $300 (1/3 spent on pizza and ice cream cake, the rest saved for more pizza and ice cream cake later in summer). Girls made $63 on their mini canteen (Olivia was our star saleswoman!), they had $53 left to split amongst themselves after we had them contribute $10 to the genera garage sale fund since they hadn't purchased any of the items they sold - gotta get in a little life lesson!

My Mother's Day loot!

Handmade cards from all the kids; key chain from Sophia; photo album purchased, filled and captioned by Emma and Sophia; flowers and a gift certificate for a 2 1/2 hr massage spa treatment from everyone! The most surprising part was that Nathan already had the appointment booked and babysitting arranged!

For date night tonight we changed it up from our usual (The Keg) and went to Don Pedro's (I ordered the Southwestern Chicken Tacos, Nathan had the Super Pedro burrito), then Marble Slab Creamery and Tim's for coffee/tea/dessert, then McNally Robinson, then The Great Gatsby. Fantastic evening!

No school today (PD day for the teachers). And since its finally starting to show signs of spring like temperatures out there, off the kids go to play at the school playground! Jacob was so excited!

Found out today that there will for sure be 3 kindergarten classes when Jacob goes to school next year. So glad they made the cut off instead of just missing it and having two really large classes!

Tonight while I was gone at choir practice, Nathan and the youngest 3 had a mini sticks Stanley Cup championship while also watching some playoffs on tv.
