What were we celebrating yesterday? You likely won't be able to tell by looking but we traded in our 2009 Volkswagen Routan for the 2012 edition. It's black - the same as our "old" one - so you can't tell from the outside. But the inside has several new features including leather seats, front seat warmers (!!), reverse camera, built in video entertainment (we had to add that ourselves last time), touch screen audio/media centre with some neat features. Picked it up today and loving it!!

Went to Boston Pizza (as usual) before the last Jets regular season game of the year and sat near Hustler and Lawless as they aired the pre-game show. Putting faces to names can be funny!  Don't mind the awkward shot, I felt weird obviously taking a picture of them so I tried to do it discreetly - which probably made me seem more stalker-ish instead of less.  Oh well!

Nathan joined a friend in a hockey tournament this weekend so the kids and I came up watch. Normally his games start around 10pm so couldn't pass this up. Forgot to take a picture until the end of the game so he wasn't even on the ice, and the iPhone is not exactly great at zooming but you get the idea.

In memory and in honor of those killed or injured in the Boston Marathon bombings the older kids at school wore purple and wrote a purple infinity sign on their wrists (I believe it was going around Instagram). Emma's class had a writing assignment about the bombings, how they felt about it and what they thought should be done about it.

My gift? A wedding band to go with the new engagement style ring we bought a year ago to replace my original ring. I had lost the diamond a few years back and had been wearing an anniversary ring (which matched Nathan's wedding ring). When I looked into how much it would cost to replace the diamond it would be about the same as buying a whole new ring. I figured I may as well get a new ring in an updated style. But after we bought that (on a cruise), I realized I was too sentimental about my old ring after all. So we put a ruby in it (July's birthstone because it's the month we were married). I felt that my new ring alone made it look like I was just engaged instead of married so I requested a new wedding band for my birthday (and Mother's Day and our anniversary and on and on - I think I've used up my quota for awhile!).

Kelli Berzuk was our presenter at Coffee Connections this morning. Talk about important information about the health of our pelvic floor. Proper education would almost eradicate a problem suffered by more than half the female population. If you suffer from urinary incontinence, no matter how minor, see a physiotherapist who specializes in this extremely important muscle!!

Emma's turn for a birthday cupcake delivery at school. Her birthday always falls during Spring Break so I usually bring them the first day back (the last day before is usually a party day already so I figure it's good to save it as a consolation for Spring Break being over - ha ha!)
