Sophia's team ended up winning bronze at a weekend tournament.  It was a very tight match against our other hometown team - we managed to squeak out a win both times we played them this weekend, but it was really close!  Unfortunately, for some reason, they didn't hand out medals at this tournament.

I was solo parenting (Nathan was gone to Minneapolis to watch the Vikings) and it turned out to be one busy weekend.  Today we went straight from Sophia's girl team practice, to Jacob's game, to Olivia's practice, to Sophia's game, then a short break until I drove Emma & Sophia to their Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe cast party.  Thankfully nothing overlapped and everything got done!

Olivia taking the faceoff during her game tonight.  They won by a significant margin.  She played defense for a large part of the game.  When she switched to forward she was trying so  hard to score a goal, and I can't believe she didn't.  She was just buzzing around that net.  She could've just as easily scored 5 and 0, but unfortunately, somehow the puck just wouldn't go in the net.

She's thrilled that she got #16 though since Andrew Ladd is her favourite Jets player.

It's that time of year again!

Getting a little leary of what our schedule is going to look like with extra curricular activities this fall/winter - especially with 3 in hockey this year.  Today Emma had volleyball after school till 4:30, Sophia had hockey from 5-6, Emma had voice from 5-5:30, I needed to drop Jacob off at Nathan's parents at 5 for the Jets game, and I had praise band practice at church from 6:45-9.

Tonight while I was gone at choir practice, Nathan and the youngest 3 had a mini sticks Stanley Cup championship while also watching some playoffs on tv.

Today Olivia's team beat my old home town 4-3 in the first game of a best of 3 series. She even had a grandpa, an aunt and uncle and 2 cousins come cheer her on!
