 Olivia talked me into making an extra trip to school this afternoon to bring her field trip money (found out later the teacher had told her it was ok if we brought it Monday).  Oh well, Jacob got to play at the school play structure with a buddy so it turned out well.

Getting a little leary of what our schedule is going to look like with extra curricular activities this fall/winter - especially with 3 in hockey this year.  Today Emma had volleyball after school till 4:30, Sophia had hockey from 5-6, Emma had voice from 5-5:30, I needed to drop Jacob off at Nathan's parents at 5 for the Jets game, and I had praise band practice at church from 6:45-9.

Joined the Wednesday morning Girlfriends' Bible Study group for the first time this morning - we're doing a book study using Beth Moore's Believing God - looking forward to it!

After Coffee Connection today, I headed to Tim Horton's for 2 1/2 hrs while waiting to get the van serviced and the passenger visor mirror replaced (it was cracked when we got it).  Spent the majority of the time working on my presentation for Coffee Connections next week - a Christian Woman's Guide to Technology.

Today I left for our church's <strike> shopping trip </strike> ladies retreat in Fargo.  I headed down a bit early so I could get some shopping done, and I was looking forward to going to Long Horn Steakhouse for supper.  Yes, by myself.  Some people might not be comfortable with that.  But, let me tell you, as someone with 4 kids - eating by myself at a nice restaurant was glorious!!

During the Maple Noise concert at our church, Tim Neufeld and his crew came into the crowd to sing around the "campfire". He stood on the chair right next to Sophia. "Awkward!"

Today was a parent led field trip to the Jets training camp.

Nathan said Andrew Ladd was a total class act.  He made sure that every single kid there got his autograph, before any adults did.  A super great guy!

Finally, the Bombers pull off their first win at their new stadium, beating the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Banjo Bowl.

After the game we went to Joey's, where Shaun photo bombed retired Blue Bomber Dough Brown!  Both Nathan and Shaun talked to him before we left.

I thought it was rather crazy that we dropped off two kids at hockey today when it was 26C outside!

Kids had a great time at the Lorette Family Fun Days.

Let the kids top their own pizzas for supper tonight, then it was off to church to drop Emma off for her first youth retreat!

Today was a big day around our house.

For the girls.... the first day of school!  Olivia in Grade 3, Sophia in Grade 5, and Emma in Grace 7.

For Jacob?  After dropping Nathan's parents off at the airport (Fairway tour of Canada's east coast), Nathan took Jacob to the Jets practice at the Ice Plex.  The goal?  Meet Jacob Trouba (Jacob's favourite player, naturally), and get his autograph.  Mission successful!!

Sorting and labelling school supplies!  Tomorrow we bring the supplies to school and meet the teachers.  Only 3 more sleeps till the first day of school. Where did the summer go?!

Notice how many kids are involved this year?  Yup, Jacob starts Kindergarten next week Tuesday!
