I'm not sure what we were thinking tackling such a big project so soon after our holidays but we took advantage of the girls' scheduled day off and Nathan's unscheduled day off (due to blizzard like conditions) and rearranged the girls bedroom arrangements. They were all sharing one large room but Emma has been wanting her own room for quite some time now and we decided to make it work. The old playroom is now her bedroom and the other 2 are still sharing, as much as they would each like their own rooms too. Some toys were rearranged and some were put in the garage sale storage and it all worked out. Kinda cheating on this one but it didn't seem right to only show one girl in her new digs. And Jacob just looked cute when he came in from shoveling the front porch.

That plane in the middle of the tarmac?  We were supposed to be on it.  Our prior flight was delayed and we landed in Minneapolis at 5:10pm with our connecting flight set to leave at 5:20pm.  Of course, our gates were pretty much the furthest apart they could possibly be, and we were sitting in the very back of the plane, and nobody listened to the flight attendant's instructions to remain seated if you didn't have a close connecting flight to catch, but we tried sprinting through the terminal anyway just in case the flight was late (well, Nathan sprinted the whole way, I lagged behind about half way there - sprinting is not easy after the week of eating we just had!) only to arrive at our gate to see our plane just leaving without us.

They got us on the next flight, which was slightly delayed due to mechanical problems and de-icing, so we ended up leaving Minneapolis after 10:30pm, arrived in Grand Forks at around 11:45, we were in our truck by midnight and walked in the doors as home around 2:20am, in bed and asleep by 3am, which actually felt like 4am after the time change - almost 22 hrs after we got up to begin our long day of travelling.

Aruba was our third and final port of call.  But all the excursions we were interested in were sold out, and after lying by the pool all morning enjoying the quiet ship, we ended up deciding to just stay on the boat in the afternoon too!  This holiday was for relaxing, and relax we did!

After spending a short night at the Holiday Inn Express Airport West, we headed next door to the Waffle House for breakfast before boarding the shuttle to Port Everglades and our ship, the Caribbean Princess.

Tonight Nathan took Olivia to her first ever Jets game (we won in OT!) and I took the others out for pizza after Emma's dance class.

Happy birthday to my wonderful husband who encouraged me to still go out for GNO on his birthday. We went out to celebrate Saturday, gave him his gifts (Lindtt chocolates and a Bogosian jersey - one more gift still to come but it didn't get here in time) and cards and I made him one of his favourite desserts - chocolate log cake

School was cancelled today due to extreme windchill of -45c. So I had to put them to work before we all killed each other. Ha ha!
